While I have bought food from Haru Wall St on numerous occasions, and have never had any problems with the food or delivery speed, I cannot help it, but gripe a bit about my order today. I placed an order at 8:40pm and received it at about 10:20pm. It would have taken me not more than 10 minutes to walk out of my building, pick-up my food and come back home - that's how close I live. I understand that there are heavy traffic days and would absolutely be reasonable if people level-set with me. After 45 minutes wait, I called the restaurant and asked about the status of my order. I was told that it's on its way. Another 45 minutes later and my food finally came over - not a word of explanation for the delay. Please take a note and next time do something when you make an error. Not even talking about concessions (normal practice usually in any decent restaurant to comp part of the food or toss in something extra), but just be straight forward - people always remember the one bad experience. The one star rating is to get your attention - I have no complaints about the food.

You would expect the food to be better here, and it is. Im not a fancy sushi eater but like my tuna's and shrimp and the rolls have been very good. Sure you pay for what you get, but at least its very good.

Bad quality fish on a sunday night. Slow delivery. No wasabi or ginger. Seafood temoura was terrible. Tuna looked liked it had been sitting out for a while. Very dissapointed.

Sushi is usually good, and there is a level of consistency. Don't order the shumai, unless you want to wait 75 minutes for delivery. The accommodation: a "note on my account". For the price I paid, I could have taken a cab to the village, picked up sushi at Tomoe, and then a cab home. I think I have to break up with Haru.

great food. But $8.50 for a $2 bottle of Fuji water? That's a ridiculous mark-up.

The best and most reliable sushi, amazing salmon teriyaki and incredible dumplings and appetizers

Extremely slow delivery. 75 minutes for an order placed at 6.45pm.

had to wait ages for the food. not worth the wait

Slowest delivery ever. The food is good but not worth the wait.

My favorite sushi place thus far on Seamless. Always great, always fast. Also love their Spicy Chicken Teriyaki Appetizer. GREAT. Will order from again and again.

for quality of food, Haru is by far the best choice for sushi/sashimi downtown and has the best lunch menu. after ordering i went in for their sake hour...amazing prices for the same great quality!

Food seemed relatively fresh but portions are small =(.

Waited ages for our food. Lady on the phone is VERY rude. We're never ordering from here again.

The food is well packed and came with all the sauces etc.. as if in the resturant. Would like some salt and pepper. Shame the sausces are a dollar.

ONE HOUR LATE and the food was SPOILED!!! Terrible customer service.. This is only my opinion but there are MANY other sushi restaurants to order from, this place should be out of business.

Best Service and Best Sushi in the Financial District.

Sushi Special lunch is my go-to lunch.
Posted 9 months ago by Annie W.
There are many sushi places in the Financial District but few as good as this one. Their rolls are always well prepared and unlike many other places in this sector one can tell that attention was paid to detail. Delivery can take a while but it is certainly worth the wait.

Pricey sushi which is in line with this chains reputation but great quality and interesting items to chose from.

Food is always good and fresh. Service is slow at restaurant though.

Sushi is really great quality. The rolls are tasty too! Best sushi I've had downtown, I highly recommend Haru Wall St.

Outstanding for delivery. Always fresh and hot. Reliable and efficient.

Their spicy tuna roll is so delicious that I order it in place of salmon which I usually prefer. The shrimp tempura is equally as good and they definitely don't cheat you on portion size - one of these appetizers will easily feed two!

Better for eat in then delivery. Bento box lunch special is great. Worth a trip to the Wall St. location

A cut above the other neighborhood Japanese. Delivery can take a long time.

Good, but pricey sushi. Their specialty rolls are delish

The king crab dumplings are AWESOME. I could eat these everyday. The sushi from here is good, albeit pretty standard. What really sets Haru from the rest of the pack is their warm appetizers. So. good.

We ordered the lunch box set and it was really good. Really enjoyed the fried tempura. Highly recommend.
Posted 9 months ago by Yen H.
Good sushi selections and very good hot entrees. Particularly like the Sea Bass with noodles, and also the stir fry tuna. Try the tempura if you feel like a warm appetizer, the ceviche is the best option for cold appetizer.

Took more than 50 minutes to get cold, rubbery food -- and then a rude, annoying person who answered the phone told me I obviously didn't understand how that food gets cold and rubbery when it goes outside for delivery. If I want Japanese downtown, I'm going to stick with somewhere other than Haru. (I tried to give it 'no" stars, but this system forces you to give it at least one -- since I'm throwing $32 of cold food away, i don't even give it one star.)

always good!

Food arrived luke warm (got hot bento box), but it was delicious nevertheless. I have a love-hate relationship with this place -- I'm always annoyed by the service (such as late delivery or lack of attention at the restaurant), but the food is always delicious.

NEVER ORDER BENTO BOX. There were only 3 sushi, 4 roll pieces and tons of sliced veges. Mochi ice cream seemed too old, I couldn't even eat. But they forced to pay $4 tip for $37 order.

DONT DO CORPORATE DELIVERY. I got burned - took 96 minutes to get delivered. People on the desk were pissed. They FORCED at $9 tip on a $75 order. The sushi was all mixed together, so I had to separate it for everyone (no one likes people touching their food). Soup was cold by the time it got to us. I called to reverse out the TIP, but we'll see if that actually happens. There are 15 Sushi joints that deliver to my building, I'm sure someone appreciates the business enough to deliver in under an hour.

The sushi bento box was a disappointment.. it only came with half a roll and 3 sushi pieces.

Haru always delivers great food fast. It is the best sushi in this area hands down.

My order took over 50 minutes to leave the restaurant. It just shouldn't take that long to make sushi.

Restaurant claimed not to have gotten my order (I had received a confirmation email) and was disinterested, bordering on hostile.

plain, blah blah blah sushi no taste.

Fishy smelling when delivered. Slicing techniques are terrible. Terrible meal.

It took 50min for order to deliver to Wall St and that with +50% more tips upfront ! Food (steak) was cold and it seems was prepared from frozen meat.
Posted 2 years ago by Yuriy B.
Not good food. Crispy Duck not crispy, sides unappetizing. Sushi very average. Took 1hr to arrive. Oh, and very expensive.

Sometimes good, sometimes quite bad.
Posted 2 years ago by Paris P.
12% tip minimum for a roll that probably sit out for an hour before being served. It's not even expensive, it's dangerous. The rice on the side was SOLID. Don't waste your money and your health.
Posted 2 years ago by Nina N.
Food is ok but extremely over priced for what it is. The 12% tip is insane. Will not order from here again due to greedy tip and over priced food. Many other options in area that deliver better value for dollar.
Posted 2 years ago by Nick G.
The sushi is fantastic from here, however it was an hour late and it was made with white rice when I had ordered brown rice.
Posted 2 years ago by Dave M.
best take out sushi downtown!
Posted 2 years ago by Karen B.
Would be decent sushi if it were half the price. The special rolls are significantly overvalued. Food took over an hour to be delivered within financial district. Clearly worth ordering elsewhere.

Food arrived very quickly and was delicious.

Took forever, spilled the miso soup, only gave three packets of soy sause. Food was good but not worth the price.
Posted 3 years ago by Bradley B.
Not quite up to par with the other Haru's around the city... sorry! Edamame was over cooked and not all the the fish was as fresh as I expected.
Posted 3 years ago by Megan B.
I'm not a huge sushi fan, but I have to say that these folks know how to make great teriyaki. I'm also a big fan of their desserts. If you can't make it into this beautiful location (the decor is lovely), than you should order up as quickly as possible.
